ACOUSTIC DOORS

There is an increasing trend for home owners and developers to incorporate acoustic doors in residential and commercial development designs. Ausin acoustic door is able to provide sound insulation while being outfitted as well finished doors for the customer.

*A single number rating is adopted to compare the acoustical isolation of different barrier or partition materials used in construction.

• STC 25 - Normal speech can be understood quite clearly
• STC 30 - Loud speech can be understood fairly well
• STC 35 - Loud speech audible but not intelligible
• STC 42 - Loud speech audible as a murmur
• STC 45 - Must strain to hear loud speech
• STC 48 - Loud speech barely audible
• STC 50 - Loud speech not audible

Ausin acoustic doors are fitted with a full perimeter seal which allows a positive seal between the door leaf and frame. This positive seal is most effective at locations whereby doors are required to provide access into acoustically rated and pressurised plenums.
